Columbus Zoo

After attending the Apple Grand Opening in Dayton, we drove to Columbus for Columbus Zoo. It was my first time to go to a zoo for many years. Voted as one of the best zoos in the nation, Columbus zoo is huge and it also has an aquarium. When I was a kid, I thought it was so exciting to see those animals and those animals should be excited too. But compared to their wild habitats, the zoo is pretty much like a prison to those animals. I cannot read their minds, but I guess some of them are not very happy to be restrained so much. The part that I liked most was that Arica section where zebras, ostriches and giraffes are running free on a vast grass land. It was so big that I could not see the other side of the fence. On another side of the fence, though, was lions and cheetahs. They were well fed, and they didn’t bother to do anything but napping. Kids love the zoo, and it’s the same everywhere in the world. It is very informative and educational to let the kids know that the world is not just about human beings. I think Columbus Zoo did a great job doing that.
