Kentucky State Fair, Louisville

I have never been to a fair before, even though from time to time I could see the observation wheels standing up somewhere. Kentucky State Fair began last week so I decided to go with Ken to take a look. It is interesting that the State Fair is not held in Frankfort, the capital in Kentucky, but in Louisville, the biggest city in the state. I guess that makes sense because having this kind of big fair would require lots of resources that not every city can provide. It wasn’t hot on Saturday, but quite shiny. So it was great that most of the shows were inside the convention center halls, and you only need to eat food to step out.It was very informative to see basically everything you could possibly need in your daily life, especially for a newbie like me, from honey to tobacco, from health care to live stock. It took us 5 hours to go through almost everything in a quick fashion, and of course we missed several shows that we wanted to watch. There were a lot of people there as well and it reminds of China in a lot of ways. I guess people are just the same everywhere in the world.
