Talon Winery is located in the south of the town and it’s about 30 minutes drive from downtown. We went there on Tuesday, expecting not to see many people. However, the winery was packed with groups and individual visitors. Obviously, they are very popular. Although the Groupon we bought had expired, we still could taste the wines for $1 per sample. Their menu is very clear and informative, and I really liked that. I guess being close to the city is one factor of their success, but being visitor friendly is probably the key reason. The vineyard in the back is huge and beautifully maintained. Talon Winery is the most popular winery that we have been to in this area and it’s probably the best as well. I would highly recommend it to people who want to have a local taste here.
